The Production figures are in Million barrels per day
Dataset- This data is from Annual Statistical Supplement released by International Agency.
This report contains enormous data like Oil demand, production, prices, etc.
The data in the GeoMap above, shows the distribution of Crude Oil resources around the world. The difference in colors shows the great imbalance in energy economy and monopoly. It is important to note that national demand led to increase in individual country's production over the years. Saudi Arabia produces the largest amount of crude oil. However, from the report it is interesting that Russia also contributes as much as Saudi Arabia during recent years.
Middle - East countries which include Egypt, Yemen, Oman, Iraq and Iran form the "Arab League" which produces 29.71% of the world's total production. In South America, Venezuela is the largest producer. Given the fact of well known developing economies in Asia like India and China and in South America like Brazil, we can estimate the demand, cost and trading patterns throughout the world.
However, we can see that production has not significantly increased over the last 10 years, and the energy economy is strained because of increasing population, emerging economies and over-dependence on crude oil.
